The meeting declared that China is still unswervingly implementing the policy of "dynamic zero-COVID policy". Sun Yeli, the spokesman of the conference, said frankly that the epidemic had a great impact on the economic development and people's lives of countries around the world, and everyone hoped that the epidemic would end at an early date. However, the epidemic still exists, which is a reality that must be faced.

The 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (二十大) opened in Beijing on 16 Oct.

China's epidemic prevention policy also has a certain impact on meat imports, which is reflected in the following aspects:
-Due to the epidemic, the efficiency of customs staff working at the port lockdown zone may slow down, and inspection and clearance may be delayed.

-The epidemic may cause the reduction of cold storage workers, which will have a great impact on the speed of storage. Also the terminal shipments may be insufficient due to the restrictions of epidemic control.

-The epidemic prevention and control may be grim in the domestic imported cold chain food sector: frozen products flow into the market and sterilization/nucleic acid test is needed in the supervision warehouse, so the market circulation has been hindered.

-If the epidemic situation repeated, people are more inclined to stay at home rather than eating outside, the consumption environment may continue to be sluggish.
