French President Macron paid a state visit to China from April 5 to 7. During this period, China and France reached many important cooperation, and signed a series of cooperation documents. As for the aspect of traditional agriculture cooperation, Chinese imports is in the majority which includes wheat, pork and many other products.

Meng Fan, chief representative of the INAPORC (French Pork Association) in China, said that China is currently the largest customer of French pork exports except for the EU countries. In the past seven years, France's annual pork exports to China have doubled.

France's pork production is around 2.3 million tons per year. Compared with Denmark and other pork exporting countries, France's pork market is characterized by self-sufficiency and will not expand its export share in order to meet international market demand, and France also seeks stable and long-term partnerships.

France's visit to China this time has advanced cooperation once again. According to the French media, the French pork industry has been granted 15 new licenses in a new cooperation agreement that will enable to export more products to China, which means that not only pork, but also more pork food products are possible to enter the Chinese market.

Therefore, this deep cooperation between the two countries means that the French pork will make a big push into Chinese market.
