China's Poultry Imports May Continue to Reduce in 2023

According to customs data statistics, chicken imports in 2022 involved a total of 10 countries, including Brazil, US, Russia, Thailand, Argentina and Belarus, etc.. Argentina, Turkey and Chile exported to China 74.7, 42.5 and 27 thousand tons in 2022 respectively, a total of 145,032 tons. Totaled 1,322,495 tons of chicken products imported in 2022, the three countries together accounted for 10.97%.

 

According to the customs data, China’s total imports of poultry products in Jan and Feb this year fell by 5% YoY. Without considering the situation that poultry imports continue to be restricted, poultry imports in 2023 will produce a reduction of about 10%, even has a reduction for two consecutive years.
