On the other hand, proceedings have also been initiated against another firm that between January 2021 and December 2022, under-invoiced 69 exports by more than 30% to liquidate less foreign currency than it was entitled to.

The meat packing plants under the magnifying glass for carrying out "prohibited" exports are Login Food SA, Carnes Sudamericanas SA, Frigorífico Alberdi SA, and Frigorífico HV SA. At the same time, Santa Giulia SA is the meat packing plant under investigation for under-invoicing maneuvers. Among them, three plants are allowed to export to China (plant 2595, 5209, and 1352).

Customs announced that they are preparing fines for these actions. "The agency headed by Guillermo Michel could apply fines of US$2.49 million to the meat packing plants in question; additionally, it has collected more than US$1 million in rectifications for claims presented to companies in the sector", they indicated.
