Will Your Meat Plant Expire Exports to China in 2023?

According to the Article 20 of Decree 248. Applications for renewal of registration can only be submitted to the GACC within 3 to 6 months before the expiry of the validity period of enterprise registration. After the extension application is approved, the registration validity period will be extended for 5 years on the basis of the original registration validity period.

 

2023 H1 will welcome the first peak period of application for overseas plants extending their export validity to China.

 

According to the Article 20 of Decree 248. Applications for renewal of registration can only be submitted to the GACC within 3 to 6 months before the expiry of the validity period of enterprise registration. After the extension application is approved, the registration validity period will be extended for 5 years on the basis of the original registration validity period.

 

For overseas meat plants, the first batch of expiry period will be on July 31st 2023. That is to say, these plants need to submit their applications starting from Jan 31st 2023. If enterprises fail to extend their validity before the expiry date, then their export registrations to China will be automatically expired from 0:00 Aug 1st 2023.

 

If the registered overseas food production enterprise fails to apply for renewal of registration, GACC shall cancel its registration, and its products whose shipping date are after the expiry date won't be accepted the import declaration by customs at ports. To avoid future troubles and save costs, it's advised to apply for the extension in advance, if you need any help or have any doubts, send an email to overseas@oigcn.com.
