Since September this year, the total import volume of meat (including offal, the same below) in Chinese Mainland has continued to decline slightly. According to the latest data released by the GACC, the total volume of meat imports in Chinese Mainland in November stopped falling and turned to rise, with a month on month increase of about 38,000 tons to 666,000 tons compared with October, hitting the peak of the total volume of meat imports in the year. On the whole, the gap between the total meat imports of each month this year and that of the same period last year was decreasing month by month. In November, the year-on-year gap was again reduced to 11,000 tons, almost at the same level as that of the same period last year, with a year-on-year decrease of 1.6%.

While the meat import volume has recovered, the meat import volume in November also increased slightly to 2.9 billion US dollars, but the overall average import price of meat has continued the downward trend since September, which is 4,357 US dollars/ton. Compared with the same period last year, there is still a significant increase of about 800 US dollars per ton.

Although the beef import volume of Chinese Mainland has remained at a high level since this year, the overall pork import volume is at a low level, which to some extent reduces the total meat import volume this year. In the first 11 months of this year, Chinese Mainland's meat imports totaled 6.7 million tons, 2.02 million tons less than the same period last year; The import volume in the same period reached 28.89 billion US dollars, with a gap of 7.55 billion US dollars on a year-on-year basis; The overall average price of meat import was 4,311 US dollars/ton, an increase of 913 US dollars/ton on the basis of 3,398 US dollars/ton in the same period last year.
