Analysis of GACC New Reform for Emergency Preventive Measures

Source:

As we posted before, GACC repealed Order No.103 to publish No.58. for cold chain food.

As we posted before, GACC repealed Order No.103 to publish No.58. for cold chain food. GACC stopped taking “the circuit breaker” as its emergency preventive measures. This policy actually facilitates the domestic buyers’ action in China by lessening their burdens of cargo backlog at ports.

Previously, when cargo tested nucleic acid positive at ports, domestic buyers need to bear the cost of the cargo being held for two weeks. This circuit breaker system has little impact on overseas shipment.

However, for overseas suppliers, it needs to mind that this new reform actually emphasizes more responsibilities for the competent authorities and enterprises of exporting countries and regions. Also, the video audit is estimated to be more active if the cargo was tested nucleic acid positive. Measures such as rectification within specified time limits, suspension of import and cancellation of registration still will be taken for overseas food production enterprises with problems.
