China's total monthly meat imports this year have been lower than the same period last year because of low pork imports, which have been below 200,000 tons since last Sept. As of October, the country has imported 6.034 million tons of meat this year, a year-on-year decrease of 201.2 million tons or 25 %. Imports value for the first ten months were $26 billion, down 4.6 percent from a year earlier.
